FIRST TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS TRAINS operates inter-city train services across the North of England, from the East Coast to the Lake District, from the North East to Yorkshire, and across Lancashire to Merseyside.

Major towns and cities served by TransPennine Express include Newcastle, Middlesbrough, York, Scarborough, Hull, Leeds, Huddersfield, Doncaster, Sheffield, Preston, Manchester, Manchester International Airport and Liverpool.

TransPennine Express is one of the few train operating companies in the United Kingdom running 24 hours a day, including through New Years Eve night. For example, trains run between York and Manchester Airport at least every three hours every night of the week.

First TransPennine Express offers a wide range of tickets - single, return, off peak, advance purchase and season for both First and Standard Class customers. There are ticket options to suit all types of traveler and all are able to purchased online with Rail Saver.

First TransPennine Express is a joint operation between First Group and Keolis and operates regular regional services in the north, including services linking the west and east coasts of England across the Pennines
